Infrared factorization in inclusive B meson decays
We perform infrared factorization of differential rates of radiative and semileptonic inclusive decays of the B meson in the end-point region of photon and charged lepton spectrum, respectively, in the leading heavy quark mass limit. We find that the differential rates are expressed in terms of hard, jet and soft functions, which satisfy evolution equations. Solving these equations, we find exp...
متن کاملFactorization in Color - Suppressed B Meson Decays ∗
We summerize the status of factorization hypothesis in the color-suppressed B meson decays : B → J/ψK (*). We present the general formalism for decay rates and polarization fractions with considering all possible non-factorizable contributions which also include the color-octet contributions, and a new factorization scheme comes appear when the universality is exist : χ F 1 = χ A1 = χ A2 = χ V ...
متن کاملInclusive radiative B meson decays at Belle
We present the most precise inclusive measurement of the branching fraction and photon energy spectrum of b → sγ radiative decays up to date. The photon energy distribution is measured for E γ > 1.7 GeV. The measurement is performed by the Belle collaboration using 605 fb −1 of data recorded by the Belle detector at the KEKB collider.
متن کاملFactorization approaches to B meson decays
A(B → M1M2) ∝ φB ⊗H ⊗ φM1 ⊗ φM2 , (2) where ⊗ denotes the convolution over parton kinematic variables, the hard kernel H absorbs perturbative dynamics, and the B (M1, M2) meson distribution amplitude φB (φM1, φM2) absorbs nonperturbative dynamics in the B → M1M2 decay. A piece of contribution to B meson decays is factorizable, if it respects either Eq. (1) in the sense of the factorization assu...
متن کاملHadronic mass moments in inclusive semileptonic B meson decays.
We have measured the first and second moments of the hadronic mass-squared distribution in B-->X(c)l nu, for P(lepton)>1.5 GeV/c. We find = 0.251+/-0.066 GeV(2), <(M(2)(X)-)(2)> = 0.576+/-0.170 GeV(4), where M macro(D) is the spin-averaged D meson mass. From that first moment and the first moment of the photon energy spectrum in b-->s gamma, we find the heavy qu...
